Like a regular tattoo, there will be some level of pain depending on where you get your cosmetic tattoo on the face. Depending on your individual pain tolerance, you can use a numbing cream to help with the pain. We will provide you guidance at the time of booking on where you can purchase your numbing cream ready for your appointment.
Cosmetic tattoos are the same as regular tattoos in that our artists are using a need to puncture your skin and deposit ink. However, the method of depositing the ink differs as well as the depth of puncture. Cosmetic tattoos do not penetrate the skin as deep as regular tattoos and the artist uses a finer needle called a nano cartridge.
Cosmetic tattoos are semi-permanent tattoos that generally last about one year, but you can get them touched up at regular intervals to make them last longer. The better you take care of your cosmetic tattoo, the longer it will last.
Cosmetic tattoos generally heal within eight weeks, depending on the individual. As your cosmetic tattoo heals, you can expect minor swelling, redness, and possibly itchiness (this is a sign of healing). Try not to itch your cosmetic tattoos and apply aftercare balm to reduce scabbing.
Immediately following the procedure, your cosmetic tattoos will appear more prominent with minor swelling and redness, which should subside within a few hours. The initial tattoo is darker and will fade to reach your desired result as you heal.
