With so many celebrities sporting their own signature tattoo, how can you not be inspired and influenced by them? They might hold on to their private lives with fierce determination but when it comes to their tattoos – they’ll put them on a billboard and light it up for all to see and we are loving it! Take a look at our pick of some of the most stylish and fun tattoos that deserve the red-carpet treatment.
Continuing the celebrity face-tattoo bandwagon in 2020 is rapper/actor Chris Brown, sporting his love for sneakers with a homage to the Nike Air Jordan 3 sneaker dangling down by the shoelaces on his right cheek. That’s a lot of face skin for a sneaker! But Chris’s own face is the subject of a major tattoo we did at Celebrity Ink Kuta in Bali, Indonesia. Check out the photo Chris shared to his official Instagram page.
Could singer/rapper Post Malone have predicted the social distancing mandate with his “Stay Away” tattoo above his right eyebrow? We’ll ignore that request and get up close to some of Post’s musically inspired portrait tattoos of some of his favourite musicians. Finger tattoos featured on his knuckles with the likes of Elvis Presley, Kurt Cobain, John Lennon, George Harrison, Dimebag Darrel, Bankroll Fresh and Stevie Ray Vaughan have us paying our respects to music royalty, but most impressive is the dangerous and powerful tattoo of a grizzly bear face inked on his right hand inspired by musician Justin Bieber.
Speaking of Justin.. his ever-growing collection of tattoos sees him adorned with a laurel wreath across his collarbone symbolising self-preservation and the word “Forever” with a bird on his neck. Dare we say it…we are “beliebers”.
It’s class all the way to the Louvre with Miley Cyrus’s Matisse tattoo. Inspired by the art and poetry book Dance Me to the End of Love, which pairs artwork by Matisse with Leonard Cohen’s lyrics to the song by the same name, Miley has this tattoo on her right upper arm.
Picture perfect and not needing any filter is Hayley Baldwin at the red-carpet launch of her PRETTY LITTLE THING collection in West Hollywood. Wearing her hair up to show off her body ink and matching tattoo with husband Justin Bieber. The word “Grace” placed on the back of her neck just below her hairline with Justin’s, discreetly worn just above his eyebrow, sees this 2020 power couple sharing their faith and praise to God.
With over 50 tattoos (where does she put them all?) and already showing her affection for the insect variety when she commemorated the citizens of Manchester with a bee tattoo behind her ear, Ariana Grande chose the Grammy’s to debut her next flying critter; a delicate and pretty butterfly peeking out from the top of her long-sleeved silver gloves. Always the epitome of style!
These tattoos we’re loving on celebrities have tickled our fancy and spurred us on to new creations for when our studio doors are open, but if you are looking for more inspiration, check out our gallery on Instagram and plan your own tattoo, fit for a celebrity!
