When you arrive at our Celebrity Ink studio, you’ll be greeted by a team member. We’ll ensure our records are current and all waivers are signed. You will then meet your artist.
Depending on the region and location of the studio, car parking may be available in the shopping centre.
However, we recommend that you plan ahead of time and check this information for yourself. We suggest you arrive 15 minutes before your appointment start time so your artist can get started on time.
You can pay for your tattoo with cash, card, PayPal, bank transfer, or the ‘buy now pay later’ service we offer in your region, such as AfterPay and ZipPay.
Deposits are non-refundable but are fully transferable. We’re happy to issue you with a studio credit, store merchandise or transfer the credit to a friend who might be interested in getting a tattoo.
For short-notice cancellations, you will lose your deposit.
When cared for properly, your new tattoo should fully heal within 4-6 weeks. However, everyone is different, and we all heal in different ways and within different timeframes.
The length of the tattoo healing process also depends on how big it is, where it’s located on your body and the design. For example, a tattoo with heavy colouring-in or shading will take longer to heal than a simple fine-line design.
We do not tattoo individuals who are pregnant. This is for the health and safety of the individual and their unborn child.
Once your design is finalised, your artist will place the stencil on your body in the desired location. You will need to check the placement in the mirror.
If you’re happy with the size, location and placement, a sales team member will discuss and ensure that everything is correct (size, design, specific details, spelling and colour). They will confirm the final price with you before your artist commences the tattoo.
If, at any stage, you start to feel uncomfortable, please notify your artist or a member of the sales team.
Our team can then provide you with an extra cushion, a cover for modesty, water or discuss any fears you might have.
Upon completion of your tattoo, your artist will take some finished photos to be used as a record for the studio. Please note that we may use these photos as marketing material on our social media platforms.
Your artist will then wrap up your tattoo using the correct Celebrity Ink process while explaining the proper aftercare procedure and products available to purchase in the studio.
Finally, your artist will accompany you to the front counter, where a member of our sales team will greet you. This is where you’ll complete your sign-out form, purchase any merchandise/aftercare and make the final payment. You can also re-book your next tattoo appointment at this stage.
The price of your tattoo depends on various factors, such as the size, style, detail, colouring and placement on your body. Due to these variables, we use our Celebrity Ink quote calculator to provide a price range for your new piece.
There is no charge for the design component – It is included in the total price. However, we only commence the design after we have received a non-refundable deposit. The deposit value is determined by the total tattoo price and will be deducted from the final price upon completion of your tattoo.
Getting your first tattoo can be exciting and scary since you’re unsure what to expect. To prepare for this amazing experience, talk to friends and family members who have had tattoos and get their thoughts. You can also browse our social media pages (Pinterest is an excellent place to start!) to find styles and designs that resonate with you.

The time it takes to complete your tattoo will vary greatly. The size of your tattoo and the placement, design and detail all affect how long your artist will take to complete your new piece. For example, some tattoos take 30 minutes, while others take several days!
Discuss your design with your tattoo artist, and they will be able to determine the time needed to complete your artwork.
Once your artist completes your tattoo and you’re absolutely in love with your new ink, we’ll apply plastic wrap to the area. Remember, a brand-new tattoo is vulnerable to infection and should be treated like an open wound, so it’s important to keep this on for at least one hour. Do not rewrap the tattoo once you’ve taken the plastic wrap off; it’s not necessary and may actually cause more harm than good.
Clean with water and pat dry for the first two days (no lotion or soap).
Two days after your new tattoo, you can begin to apply a very thin layer of tattoo aftercare lotion daily. This is a special aftercare cream designed specifically for tattoos. You can grab some from any Celerity Ink studio.
IMPORTANT: Your new ink will peel and scab! This is absolutely normal and a necessary stage of the healing process. DO NOT pick the scab; if you do, you’ll risk harming yourself and your design.
Simply keep your tattoo clean by wiping it with clean hands, using warm water and unscented antibacterial soap. There’s no need to scrub; just let it heal naturally.
Do not swim or soak in a spa, bath or ocean for at least two weeks, as you may risk an infection or the integrity of the ink in your design. Showering will not affect your new tattoo, but do not scrub it.
Yes, you’re welcome to visit our studio as a walk-in without an appointment. However, we may not have availability at that time. If that’s the case, we’ll book you in for a time that suits you best. Also, booking in advance gives us time to allocate the best artist for the style of tattoo you are after.
We adhere to the laws of the countries that we operate in. For instance, in some states in Australia, it is illegal to tattoo anyone under the age of 18, while other states within Australia allow tattoos under the age of 18 with parental consent.
Thailand and Indonesia, on the other hand, have a lower minimum age requirement.
We maintain the right to refuse anyone who is underage or anyone who cannot produce a proof of age ID. This is to protect you and our tattoo artists.
You can get a tattoo year-round. However, some activities, such as swimming, tanning, excessive sweating and general exposure to the elements, can affect how your tattoo heals.
If you are on holiday, we recommend that you book your tattoo appointment towards the end of your trip. This way, you do not miss out on things such as swimming, tanning, diving and other activities that can affect the tattoo and its healing process.
Yes, tattoos are perfectly safe as long as you adhere to all recommended safety procedures. To ensure the artist’s safety and your own, you must be upfront and honest about any medical conditions you may have, including if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
We use vegan-friendly ink from the USA. We can provide proof of purchase and all SDS (Safety Data Sheets) if necessary.
We absolutely do cover-up tattoos. However, given the nature of tattoos, we recommend working very closely with your tattoo artist to find the perfect design to cover the old tattoo. If your original tattoo is quite dark or large, you may opt for a few sessions of laser tattoo removal to lighten it up before getting to work on your new ink.
A few great questions would be:
At Celebrity Ink, we provide you with a premium service. Depending on the placement of your tattoo, we offer a complimentary touch-up that can be completed at any of our studios around the globe.
Once we have finalised your design, you will be given a fixed price for the complete job. Therefore, the artist can take their time to ensure each job is completed to perfection and that there are no hidden surprises at the end of your service.
The design of your tattoo is one of the most important parts of our service. When you book a consultation with one of our artists, they will sit with you to map out your design, create your masterpiece and bring your vision to life.
A flash tattoo is a simple design/image of a tattoo that is pre-drawn/pre-coloured. In our studios, we have flash sheets available for you to view that give you an idea of what you can get tattooed. It’s a great option if you feel overwhelmed trying to decide what design you’d like to get.
A flash tattoo can be customised, but we would have to re-quote it according to your changes.
For the best outcome of your tattoo, please restrict any drug or alcohol use for 24 hours before your appointment. Please have a decent meal four hours before your appointment.
If you have any medical conditions or health problems or are on aspirin, Ibuprofen or blood thinners, please discuss the effects of being tattooed with your medical practitioner prior to your tattoo appointment.
Private rooms are available in most Celebrity Ink studios. These can be requested at the time of your booking.

*Western Australia: You will need to be accompanied by your parent/guardian and gain consent for any piercings. You both need to have photo identification.
Over 18
You do not need consent from a parent/guardian for any piercings. However, you do need to have photo identification.
The price of piercings depends on the area of the body that you’re getting pierced. Each studio has its own set of prices for basic, intermediate, and advanced piercings.
You do not need an appointment to get a piercing, however, we encourage you to make a booking before you arrive so we can be sure to fit you in.
The piercing itself only takes a few moments! It takes longer to mark the area you want to get pierced and then put the jewellery in once the piercing is made. Overall, one piercing shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes.
We use surgical grade stainless steel for all piercings and implant grade titanium on sub-dermal piercings.
All piercings equipment is sterilised using autoclaves.
All piercings jewellery is sterilised using autoclaves.
The initial pinch of pain you feel when getting pierced lasts only a few moments, and the area that is pierced may be tender for a few days. If your piercing is healing well with no signs of infection, this discomfort shouldn’t last more than a few days.
We don’t use piercing guns for any piercings, including ear lobes. This is because they cannot be sterilised to our standard of excellence. The use of piercing guns often damages the tissue, which delays healing or may lead to permanent damage.
Yes, you can use numbing cream to reduce the pain of getting pierced. However, we advise against it. We don’t sell or apply numbing cream for you, but you can purchase it from a chemist. We can show you how to use it and how long to put it on for.
You cannot bring your own jewellery to get pierced, as it is not sterilised. Once your piercing is healed, you can change the original jewellery out with one of your choice.
We recommend waiting until your piercing is completely healed before changing the jewellery to avoid the possibility of infection. At a minimum, you should wait at least six weeks. For tongue piercings, we recommend changing the original piercing in three weeks to a larger gauge once the swelling has subsided.
When you change the jewellery on your new piercing, be sure to clean both the piercing and jewellery thoroughly.
The amount of time it takes for a piercing to heal varies depending on where the piercing is, how well you take care of it, and the strength of your immune system.
You can get as many piercings as you want done in one session, depending on your pain threshold. We recommend spreading your piercings out over several sessions for optimum healing.
We use jewellery that is longer than normal to allow for swelling of the new piercing, which can last anywhere from 2-12 weeks. Applying ice to the area should help reduce swelling.
We recommend you clean your piercing 2-3x per day for the first two weeks and at least once a day until it is completely healed. Avoid touching your piercing; do not turn it or play with it. If you do so, you risk infection and may prolong your healing.
We recommend you use a piercing wash, saline solution, or a low-alcohol cleaning solution. Witch Hazel is also a great option for cleaning your piercing and is available at most chemists.
If your piercing looks infected, get in contact with us right away so we can provide you with the appropriate advice. Avoid touching your piercing or removing it, and continue to clean your piercing thoroughly.
Cosmetic tattoos are the same as regular tattoos in that our artists use a needle to puncture your skin and deposit ink. However, the method of depositing the ink differs, as well as the depth of puncture. Cosmetic tattoos do not penetrate the skin as deep as regular tattoos, and the artist uses a finer needle called a nano cartridge.
Like a regular tattoo, there will be some level of pain depending on where you get your cosmetic tattoo on the face.
Depending on your individual pain tolerance, you can use a numbing cream to help with the pain. We don’t sell or apply numbing cream for you, but you can purchase it from the chemist.
Cosmetic tattoos are semi-permanent tattoos that generally last about one year, but you can get them touched up at regular intervals to make them last longer. The better you take care of your cosmetic tattoo, the longer it’ll last.
Cosmetic tattoos generally heal within eight weeks, depending on the individual. As your cosmetic tattoo heals, you can expect minor swelling, redness, and possibly itchiness (this is a sign of healing). Try not to itch your cosmetic tattoos, and apply aftercare balm to reduce scabbing.
Immediately following the procedure, your cosmetic tattoos will appear more prominent, with minor swelling and redness, which should subside within a few hours. The initial tattoo is darker and will fade to reach your desired result as you heal.
The cost of laser tattoo removal depends on a variety of factors ranging from the size to the age, colour, and condition of your skin and how old you are.
Typically, laser tattoo removal takes several sessions to remove your tattoo completely, or you can opt for a few sessions to lighten the tattoo enough for a new cover-up. You must wait at least six weeks between sessions.
Similar to getting a tattoo, laser tattoo removal is painful to a degree, depending on your pain tolerance. But unlike your tattoo, the process doesn’t take nearly as long.
Laser tattoo removal will not leave a scar when it’s done correctly. There are rare instances where scarring may occur. However, blisters and scabs are common side effects of tattoo removal and are important in the healing process. Picking scabs or failing to properly care for blisters, on the other hand, might result in scarring.
Yes, laser tattoo removal is permanent. Your tattoo will not come back once it has been removed by laser tattoo removal.
