Hygiene & Standards

As you would expect, when you walk into any Celebrity Ink™  world-wide you know that our studios meet the highest hygiene standards. We live by a creed of cleanliness so that your memories are only of a great in-studio experience. Our studios are bright, open, and absolutely different from any other tattoo shop you’ve experienced before.
We’re big on small details. From Australia to Thailand, the same medical-grade standards are upheld. Each studio, no matter the location, adheres to the Workplace Health and Safety Standards of Australia (WHS) and follows all Occupational Health and Safety Guidelines (OHS) as set by the Professional Tattoo Association of Australia.

Our premises

Tattoo hygiene standards are essential in our industry, to keep both you and our artists safe. There’s no room for shortcuts. Celebrity Ink™ studios undergo rigorous hygienic routines to ensure this safe environment is maintained.

Every studio location has a Covid-Safe Plan to help us navigate the global pandemic. This includes social distancing and in-studio client limits.

Steps We Take To Maintain Tattoo Hygiene

All benches, stools, chairs, and any other treatment areas used are cleaned and sterilised between clients.
On top of sterilising, the benches are plastic wrapped and covered with a disposable slip that is replaced between clients.
The area to be tattooed is thoroughly cleaned with an antiseptic solution.
Single use gloves are always worn during your tattoo, and are changed as often as necessary.
All inks are placed in single use containers.
New single use applicators, needles, tips, and tubes are always used for each new client. The sterile packaging is opened right in front of you just before your tattoo starts. These items are safely disposed of.
Our artists always wash their hands before and after your tattoo.
Our artists use disposable razors to shave the client’s skin to ensure the tattoo looks good and to prevent infection during the healing stages.
